Hello wonderful community,

a friend of mine wants to build a new pc his only focus is gaming on 1080p.

check this build and give me your advice please.

is everything compatible?

and how is the mobo + power supply?

because he is planning to overlock the cpu.

(ignore the case and second storage)

Amazing part list honestly, as @Slottr mentionned, going to the non X version of the CPU might save you a few $ but there is a slightly higher overclocking potential.

The air cooler he suggested is amazing but the liquid cooling you have is a very good bang for your buck

The motherboard is a very solid choice

I'm going to side with you with the nvidia card. The AMD card is great but driver stability is hard to beat with nvidia

and the powersupply is a solid choice, but I'm a bit of an EVGA fanboy. I built so many PCs for my and my friends and customer. They all have EVGA powersupplies in them, and none of them have failed on them or me yet. Not even my friend who has been running it with his 250W AMD FX 9590 for the past 5 years. Can't beat that kind of reliability

Here's my take on it. 3600, 2070 Super. He should stick with the stock cooler for now, see if he's happy with the performance (which he most likely will be). No need to preemptively overspend on an expensive CPU cooler if he gets one for free to start with.
