I am putting together a new PC.  I am pretty new to all of this.  I built a PC 6 or 7 years ago, so I'm not entirely illiterate, but I would like everyone's opinions on the components I'm purchasing this week.

My budget is $5000.  (I have more to spend on the build, but I'm saving it to SLI two of the RTX 3080 TI's when they come out.  I'll switch out the 2080 TI when that time comes).

I live in the US.

I will be using the PC for music production, gaming, premier pro, after effects, web browsing.

Assuming the below components are suitable, I could use the rest of my budget to get a sound card that would be more useful to me for music production.

Motherboard:  ASUS AMD AM4 ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX Motherboard with PCIe 4.0, WIFI 6, 2.5Gbps LAN, Dual M.2 SATA 6gb/s, USB 3.2....

Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 TI XC Hybrid

As I see part of your use cases is music production, I assume silence is important for you. The build below are made with parts which will be much quieter while having the same performance.

I also won't recommend Thermaltake and RGB together in the same sentence as Thermaltake's RGB Software is ABSOLUTE TRASH. You'd be lucky to even get it to open.

Thank you.  I don't care about the RBG at all lol.  So I honestly had no idea their software is trash.  Silence is important, but there is a wall between the PC and my Desk with the peripherals wired through the wall, so it isn't a big deal.  Thanks for the list though, I think I may use some of your suggestions.

i ca't really recommend SLI unless you use a specific application a lot and you know it can take advantage of it.

It should speed up rendering in after effects (admittedly, I'm still learning to use the software to its full extent).

if you're still learning and not making money of of it, I wouldn't spend $5000 on a system for that. but that's up to you, of course.
