Hello, i'm currently in the works of building a new gaming pc. I've been out of the game for a while so I was hoping I could get some advice on the current parts I have picked out. I'm not a heavy gamer and I really only play Fallout, Skyrim, GTA V, and other major open world type of games.

Parts I had in mind:

Motherboard-Asus TUF B450 Pro Gaming

CPU-AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Cooler-Corsair Hydro Series H80i v2 120mm

RAM-Corsair Vengeance LPX 6GB (2x8) 3200MHz C16

HDD-WD Black 1TB

NVMe-Samsung 970 EVO 500GB

And I was just going to transfer my current 1660TI over to the new system, as I purchased it only a few months ago.

Don't worry about that cpu cooler, it's a fair waste of money for such a small rad. You won't benefit from it much. You'd be better off with an air cooler within the 30-40$ range.

I'd switch the motherboard to a Tomahawk MAX, personally.

And don't worry about the WD black drive- they're loud and not worth the extra bucks, get a 2TB seagate compute instead.

Thanks for the input! I will definitely be switching out that WD for the Seagate, and taking a look at the Tomahawk. As for the RAM, I've never really looked into the tech specs too much, but I really want everything to run as smoothly and as professionally as possible in this build. So is that a good choice for the CPU-MOBO combination?

Yep. It's what I'm running right now- and working perfectly fine.
