My phone only use 20 MHz on WiFi

Okay... I'll list the device I am using from the router to the smartphones.

My router: Tp-link Archer A6 v2.0

Smartphones: Galaxy A8 (2018), Galaxy A50s, Xiaomi Redmi Note5, Galaxy Tab A with S-Pen (8", 2019), Tp-link USB WiFi Dongle 802.11n.

The problem:

My phones and tablet only use 20 MHz on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz network.

So it is stuck on 72 Mbps on 802.11n and 86 Mbps on 802.11ac

I believe it is not my router side, since USB dongle can recieve 150 Mbps on 802.11n.

And I believe in official Samsung web page, both my phone and tablet should be suporting VHT80 on 802.11ac.

What I've been done:

1. reset my network on Android, Samsung representative made me did this, I was desperate.

2. Lock my Wifi so It only support 802.11ac on 5GHz and 802.11n on 2.4GHz.

3. Make sure it is using 40 MHz on 2.4 GHz and 80 MHz on 5 GHz. Tested with "Wifi Analyzer" on Android and both shows that the router really is using 40 MHz and 80 MHz respectively.

4. Basicly, I make sure all setting in my router running optimal...

My prime suspect is Android itself ...

Maybe there is some setting somewhere so that I can make use all my Wifi capabilities?

Search it in developer mode, none...

Search it in Connectivities, none...

I suspect Android itself, since I tried 3 phones and 1 tablet, 3 from Samsung and 1 from Xiaomi. On 802.11ac (80 MHz), those device only show 86 Mbps, even after I tried downloading something over network (I thought it is some agressive battery saving).

I would be glad if there is a problem since I want to stream my Steam game to my phone or tablet so I can play it on my bed :p

I have the same problem like you.

Some Android phone connect on 300mbps to my router and some Android phone connect on 144mbs to my router.

144: xiaomi Poco x3 , Samsung s20 Fe.

300: xiaomi mi 10 t pro, xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g

I'll make a hole and wait here too...
