I am working on my build.  This is what I have in mind for it

Asus Strix x570e

$294.00

Ryzen 9 3900x         $470.00
power color red dragon 5700xt

$440.00

Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2    $190.00
Gskill Trident Z 32GB (2 x 16GB)(3600)     $175.00
NZXT H510 - ATX Mid Tower PC Gaming Case   $69.99
EVGA Supernova 750 G5, 80 Plus Gold 750W, Fully Modular, $104.99

I already have the case and power supply.  going to be buying the rest of the stuff in a couple weeks.

Any changes anyone would recommend.   I will be using this computer for gaming and for CAD work. autocad and revit.

I also plan a 1440p monitor a few weeks from now.  I already have 2 or 3 1080p monitors, but am looking for an upgrade for the gaming part.

I will be adding to this computer over the next year, probably another m.2 card in raid 0. I also have 2 or 3 2tb HDD that I will probably add at least one to this system.

Thanks.

While I'm not an expert on the requirements of Cad/Revit, those specs blow my workstation at work out of the water. We are all still running on Haswell era Xeon E5-1607 (Quad core no hyper-threading) paired with a Quadro K4200 (I think. It's been a while since I looked at my system specs.) I still have a good enough experience with that setup that I can get my Cad/Revit work done. Your build should give a very satisfactory experience.

I am using an I7 6700 at work, if I remember correctly.  I had to beg for a 1050ti card.  So once I get done with this, I plan to take it to work to show them what spending a little on the computer can get them in way of quicker work.  I am the only CAD guy at work, and it is hard to get them to understand that sometimes I spend more time waiting on the computer to respond then I do actually drawing stuff.  I don't draw full time, but it is fustrating
