Hello to everyone

6 months ago i bought a brand new QNAP TS-431P , and 4 WD 8 TB each (Nasware FFBX)

Everything was working perfectly but one day , as i started my nas, i discovered that is not accessable, either by internet browser, either by qnap pro app

I tried to another switch, router, pc, but nothing(also changed all the Lan cables).

I left and tried again after 2 days but also nothing happened.

The point to me, is that in these disks , is everything for me. my job, me life, photos etc.

Please help, in any way

I have to mention that nas, is starting normally, with status led green, Lan status orange and disks all green.

Thank you

IF there is a solution, plugging these disks to Pc or another nas WITHOUT losing data, could be very helpfull

The quickest, easiest solution would be to just buy another QNAP TS-431P and putting those drives in it.

Sounds like a firmware update just derped.

If you haven't tried a config reset (won't touch data on the disks) I would advise you to check this article from qnap.

That's exactly why I prefer buying old server gear than locked down boxes. More use to them for the same price, and you have full control over it, and no dirty surprises like that.

I'd check out their Knowledge base, in particular this article. https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/knowledge-base/article/my-nas-cant-be-powered-on-or-it-does-not-boot-how-to-fix-it/

I presume its most likely either Problem #2 or #3

If you still can't resolve it, given its only 6 months old, its well within support. You should open a ticket with QNAP if you're unsure https://www.qnap.com/en/support-ticket/

They may need to RMA it for you, they should ask you to take out the disks and RMA it...always best to label which drive bay they go in.
