Hey, so i've been using an old laptop for the past 8 years and now that modern games require modern things my laptop is kinda useless. So i've decided on bulding a budget pc. I've already made a list and im wondering if you guys think everything is fine? And what kind of cables i need for the setup since everything is second. The build will be about 400-500 bucks (used parts)

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x (with the cooler)

MBD: MSI B450 - GAMING PLUS MAX

RAM: Corsair Vengence LPX (2x8GB) DDR4-3000

STORAGE: Samsung 960 evo m.2 259GB NVMe ssd

GPU: I got 3 choices FX 590 8gb, MSI 1080 8gb Or GeForce 1070 8gb

CASE: Im using a old dell server case but i can buy a new one if my budget allows it

POWER SUPPLY: HX850 850W 80+ Gold

Good cpu, motherboard and ram.

Expensive ssd. I wouldn't get a used ssd anyway, get a new mx500 or tcsunbow. If you want nvme, get a inland premium or sabrent rocket or silicon power a80.

What's the prices on those gpus? The 1080 is by far the better one.

Ok so the FX 590 is currently at 110$, the 1080 is about 200$ (its a auktion so it might like skyrocket) and the 1070 was 250$(not a auktion)

The ssd is currently at 40$ im willing to pay up to like 60$, il take a look at the other ssds thanks!

Whats the problem with getting a used ssd?

Ssd's have a limited lifetime (data reads and writes). You don't know how used it was and how much life they have left in them.

I'd pay 300 for a 1080, 200 for a 1070 and 100 for a 590.

For 220 you can get a new 1660 super, which beats the 1070.

Oh wow i didnt know that ssd:s had that kind of lifetime thing, il buy a new one then guess its worth spending some extra bucks on it too.

Are these prices for used gpu:s or new ones?
