Bios update kiled my MB.?

Hi gays,

After a Bios upgrade, the system won’t boot. I can’t get into bios to fix. Motherboard is MSI Z170 PC MATE, and the Debug LED indicators is blinking CPU - indicates CPU is not detected or fail and DRAM - indicates DRAM is not detected or fail. (but a new bios can’t destroy both CPU and RAM...?) I have tried removing all but CPU and RAM. But the red lights comes on the second my motherboard gets power. (no such scenario in manual help or elsewhere on net)
Anyone has any idea, or is the bios forcing me to by a new motherboard?

This happened after a bios upgrade, everything fine before. Now I cant boot to bios or anything. I don’t have specks in head, but there is now only a i5 skylake and kingston ram in system…

Got to have more information.  Have to look at the motherboard, what your previous version of BIOS was, your new version, and if it changed support for certain things.  While unlikely this occurred it has to be looked at.  Without this information Im not sure anyone can help you.

That’s wat I was afraid off, since system is down I cant get relative information. But thanks anyhow.

Pull the information off the components.  Everything has tags and numbers that can be googled.
