Lite video editor tool

Hi

 

Any recommendation please for video editor ? I need basic features like cutting clips. 

I searched a lot and none accept my file format mkv. please recommend paid or free one but most important support mkv format and the app size itself is small if possible.

Easiest way will be to use mp4 (you can use Handbrake to re-encode) and then Hitfilm Express probably.

I wanted to use mkv because  it is very small in size for upload while mp4 is very big

If you record at mp4, as many hardware devices do, editing first and encoding to mkv after that is much better way to go. I use mp4 altogether, just using Handbrake after video is encoded by Resolve is quite effective way to do things. Ofc this means that you need CPU power to do it rather quickly.
