No display

just build a new setup
msi 570 a pro with a amd 3800x
when i turn it on the cpu and bootLEDs flash a couple times and the vga LED stays on and is red
no display at all

any tips?

The Ryzen 3800X does not have an iGPU, you will need a dedicated graphics card for it to display an image.

Quote so I can see your answer and yes the 3800x is not an APU and the x570 MSI A-Pro is one of the worst motherboard you could have picked.

yhea i just build it for a friend he ordered the parts and picked himself any recomandations for gpu its not used for any heavy gpu load at all

everyone makes mistakes, just remember to do some research before making a purchase in the future.

I agree, if possible do return both items if your store has a return policy of some sort. 3800x is basically a higher clocked 3700x. motherboard is a horrible one.

If it is not a GPU heavy load, pick up a used RX 570 or 580 if possible.
