I have 3 main questions!

  1. What is the best test to run to stress the cpu out and test temps?
  2. what is the best software to observe cpu temps?  Ryzen master and hardware monitor showing two different temps.
  3. i ran the stress test on cpuz and ran all the blender test and ryzen master peek cpu temp was 68c and peek cpu temp for hardware was 75c.  Are these good temps?

  4. bonus question! What are bad temps for the 3950x?

1. Prime95 is probably best stress test software

2. I’m always suggesting HWinfo64 , never had any problems with it tbh.

3. Yes they are very good temps

4. I would say something above 80-85c

@Whiro tag or quote will do the trick

Steam Deck OLED 512gb , all other pc’s are gone

Thank you!  What’s the difference between the different cpu temps?  CCD1, CCD2,CPU DIE average, and Tctl/Tdie

T-die is core temp.

Tctl is the value used for fan control.

CpuDie is the same as T-Die temp.

CCD-1,2,3,x,x,x Die, Temps are individual core temps readings

This was implemented on HWinfo v6.11-3900 Beta....

Average is from lowest to highest temp on average running duration period. It neither displays the highest or lowest temp.

Any other brain teasers?

Thank you!  That makes sense!  So I should focus on tdie temp yes!?
