So, i have a ryzen 5 1600 with 8 gb of ddr5 240 gb ssd (boot sector (like i needed to tell you guys that )) and several traditional plate HDDs for raw storage. Logitech M510 mouse and logitech keyboard too (cant recall the model and im at work atm). My issue is that the mouse becomes laggy and unresponsive from time to time. The pc is set up behind my tv and is my main video source for said tv and my wireless kbrd and mouse are my "super smart tv" controls. My video card is an amd 2gb card and ive been told that it is the weak point of my system and is the cause of the mouse jumpyness. I cant refute that, nor can i corroborate it either. I dont want to drop coin on a card that wont solve the problem. When i built the rig about 2 years ago, i was building it to a spec that would just endure. No gaming as im not a gamer. Its just a goofing off and occasional movie computer.

sorry for the unnecessary book there, but any help would be appreciated. Cheers!!

does the wireless receiver have a direct "line of sight" to your peripherals?

yes. the unifying receiver on the pc side is on a usb hub that allows it to be off to the side of the monitor, but as far forward as humanly possible without falling. The cat helps it fall when it doesnt on its own accord (the cat pard was just a joke, but our cat is an adorable jerk)

ive tried it directly plugged into the pc and sliding it around to face the seating position, no dice. Its a fiarly recent development as ive been doing my computing like this for about 9 years now. Big ass tv, wireless kb and mouse, comfy chair and it was just fine for years. Ive heard that driver updates could be the culprit, but those bastards are finicky....

i have never tried out the "unifying receiver" before (except for the mouse and keyboard bundle, and it works great), but i have no problems with the receiver that comes with the mouse and keyboard itself (separate product). i also understand that it might be ridiculous to have 2 receivers plugged in to the same hub, but its worth a try.

you should try it first, or if not just uninstall and install the updated software.

yeah, but which ones? this has been going on for a while now. id hate to have to reinstall windows from scratch, but ill do it as the boot sector is only 240 GB. Its just mildly irritating when im goofing off watching documentaries and Linus Tech Talk (of course)
