I recently got a new ssd that I copied my os onto it from my old drive now my old drive was about 75%full and to copy the os I had to copy everything as well. Is there a way I can clear off all the non-necessary items off my ssd to clear up space.

Thanks in advance

I've tried a program called "easy duplicate finder" but to do any real work you need to but the software

give "wiztree" a spin.

nit's not quite a "duplicate finder", but it shows quite visually how space usage is spread troughout the folder structure.

Auslogics has a program I've used for a long time.  Problem is, despite being genuinely good, it's always looked a little scammy, and that has only gotten worse over the years from what I can tell to the point now where I'm not sure I'm comfortable properly recommending it anymore.  If you're curious, here's the link: https://www.auslogics.com/en/software/duplicate-file-finder/

Due to the aforementioned discomfort, my main go-to these days is "dupeGuru"

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
