ÄHey, recently I accidentally unplugged my ssd(where windows is located)while the pc was on. I plugged the ssd back in but the pc is now stuck with the error: critical process died. I have tried:

Starting the pc in safe mode

Restarting the pc

Using  sfc /scannow, to which it fails

Resetting the PC, to which it fails

Start up repair.

I am fairly new to pc so it would be helpful if you guys could help me out!

Edit: I have solved the issue. I reinstalled windows and it is all working fine. Thanks for the comments and now I know NOT to unplug components while the pc is on!

You said tried resetting pc.

Did you mean resetting bios/cmos? If not, might give it a try.

Made more clear meant bios

congratulations, you've learned a valuable lesson as to why you don't unplug non hotswap system components while the system is running

you will need to re-install windows, and you'll also need to shut the pc down and ideally turn the power off before making ANY alterations to the system components in future. what you have done, by the sound of things, is cause windows to corrupt a file and as result it now will not boot up.

i don't care whether you accidentally unplugged your C:\ drive or not, a simple google search would've returned "no" to the question of "is it a good idea to unplug system components while my machine is running"

Edit: I have solved the issue. I reinstalled windows and it is all working fine. Thanks for the comments and now I know NOT to unplug components while the pc is on!
