My in game graphics are messed up and i think its my card

King Fisher

PC specs  CPU: i7 8600k @ 3.7 GHS,  GPU : Geforce founders edition GTX 1080, RAM : Corsair Vengeance 2100hz,  MOTHERBOARD: MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge, SSD: Samsung Evo 870,  HDD: Seagate 3TB.

So I have recently noticed in the last month that all my games are looking really pixelated and the edges seem to completely blurred out. These bad textures can be seen mainly when light and shadows react with a surface.

Please note that i have tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics drivers to changing display options on windows. I have literally even tried logging onto another windows account on this PC but still the same error occurs. Note that i have also tried my best to change everything via the nvidia control pannel.

Could someone who knows PC's inside out please help me solve this issue and advise whether it is actually my graphics card fragmenting or if it could just be some hidden setting lying around. I am literally on the verge of a complete factory wipe and i need this information URGENTLY.  I really need help so if someone could please spare some time it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Try changing the anti-aliasing settings in cod, they mess up sometimes. also change the slider thing for "cinematic blur" or whatever it's called, it can also cause some issues

The red dead screenshot looks normal to me? maybe try different anti aliasing there as well

So try resetting graphics in cod, and in red dead i use HardwareUnboxed's recommended settings and it looks good and has good fps

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi Guys.

Thanks for these responses.

i have tried all of the above, however it appears as though my graphics are still looking the exact same. Now i am starting to see green lines as in the screenshot below.

Could this mean my gpu is due for an upgrade or could it be a CPU issue? I dont mind if it is GPU issue but definitely not cpu.

Might then just wait for the 3080's to come out.
