Gtx 970/ Oculus

I have a costume build PC with a GTX 970, and I bought an Oculus rift. I'm trying to connect the HDMI from the GPU to the Oculus and the use a HDMI to Display Port cable to connect from the GPU to the monitor, but the monitor appears without a signal. Any help or suggestions are welcomed.

Does the display work is you remove the Oculus or if you remove the monitor.

Could be bad cable

I think the problem is that the pc is not detecting anything that I plug into the the GPU's Display Port

are you connecting both cable to video card ?

Make sure that the BIOS is set to output to the PEG/PCIe device and that iGPU multi monitor is off. Then plug in the GPU and connect the monitor to the GPU and not to the motherboard.
