Linux Mint or Unbuntu

Hey everyone, So i've been thinking of switching to Linux at work for work. Basically want to get used to using it more on a daily basis.

My question is, Is Unbuntu and Mint Similar functionality wise?

Anything special that makes Mint better than Unbuntu or Unbuntu better than mint?

They’re both Debian based.

Ubuntu is the easiest to get a starting place on imo. I found the UI more recognizable and the application store is pretty nice. More package managers etc

Gotcha, im currently running Unbuntu 18.04 and a 2nd drive on my laptop. Still Have my Windows 10 OS incase i run into any trouble out on the field.

Might install Mint next just to see how it is.

I'm using Mint right now and like it better than Ubuntu, but a lot of this is driven by personal preferences. The nice thing about Linux is if there is something you do like in a distro then you can customize another distro to include it.
