Emulating Android Bluestacks VS VirtualBox

So I'm currently in the process of learning how to use VirtualBox, I was successful in getting Ubuntu to run on it, so now I'm going one step up in trying to learn to get Android Oreo running on it, now I know you can use Bluestacks for Android Emulation, but are there advantages to a virtual android system compared to using the emulator? Are there disadvantages?
