Hey guys, I recently built a new computer and installed windows 7 (x64) on it. However while on the desktop basic processes, such as accessing folders, launching programs, and even watching videos on media player, will freeze the system and cause windows explorer to crash and then re boot. I have already formated and reinstalled windows. Any idea on what the problem might be? Or do new systems have a break in time where they will act like this?

New computer specs

ASUS VI HERO MOBO

INTEL 4770K CPU

ASUS 780 GPU

SEAGATE 1TB HDD

OCZ VERTEX 100GB SSD

I do not have an idea what your issue maybe but here is a suggestion/question to attempt. Is your ocz vertex running the latest firmware?
