Hi! My Gainward GTX970 is not showing any imagine.
I tried to unplug the power cables from it and then start the pc again, and I was able to get some image w the error code " PLEASE CONNECT THE PSU CABLES TO GPU" - or something like that. While I did that just to see if the gpu is dead, the fan is spinning normally, and after I used the multimeter it looks like it's not having any power related issues.
I left the card on my desk for about 3 weeks and I plugged it in again, and it worked for about 10 minutes and died again. I tried that in my pc and in 2 other.
Same problem with my Gigabyte GTX 760. I was using my pc and the display went dark for no reason. "
Since my pc doesn't have an integrated gpu, I tried to connect the GTX 970 in one of my friends pc but with the integrated gpu as main from bios, just to see if Windows will recognise it in Device Manage, which it did.
So it looks like I have 2 dead gpus on my desk, but the main concern that I have is if I can do something to fix my gtx 970.

Yes, it didnt work. No image

But it’s recognised in windows? It may be faulty output port, hdmi or whichever you was using. Did you tried any other ones?

Yes, it's recognised in Windows but it won't display any image from any port.
My Asus Sabertooth x79 has a little led near the pci slot which fires up if something is faulty, and it flashes when i plug the gtx 970 in it. I am currently on a gtx 750ti and the pc seems to work just fine..
So the motherboard it's not faulty, neither the display ports.

Yeah it's just dead. Hardware tends to die after a while, the best you could do is reflow it in the oven. Linus has a video about this, but this should only be your last resort.
