Windows Randomly Wakes from Sleep

I frequently find that my computer keeps waking from sleep part way through the night.

I have checked in Event Viewer and it is clearly the "Device -Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (7) I219-V" that causes my computer to wake.

When I go into device manager and prevent the Network Adapter from waking my computer (Properties > Power Management) my computer no longer wakes randomly.

However when I go to manually wake my computer (like when I move my mouse) the computer returns from sleep with the Network Adapter non-functional requiring that I go into device manager and disable the enable the device in-order to re-connect to my network.

Is there any fix to this?

Go into power management for the NIC and untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". You can also try ticking "Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer" rather than completely disallowing it to wake the PC.

I'd also double check that it is the NIC waking the PC.

Launch CMD and type the following command to check what woke the PC last:

powercfg -lastwake
