The LE is basically a 7950 that didn't make it up to 7950 standards so the binned it at a lower level. There's no real "small print", just that I've heard the LE doesn't overclock quite as well as Tahiti is generally known for. If it's a 5 euro more I see no reason to not get that over a normal 7870

I just got mind*****d.

everything above suggests that your going with the 7870 LE

I see no reason to not get that over a normal 7870
It's a no brainer deal

then as if the universe just played some twisted joke on me

im off to get a gtx 660

jokes aside though, why go for the 660?not that it's a bad card but at best it falls between a 7850 and a 7870.

the 7870 Le is more or less on par with the stock 7950/gtx 660 ti/gtx 670

HD 7870 LE VS HD 7950

Not binned as well as an HD 7950, uses the Tahiti architecture IE 7900 series PCB, has fast clocks 1000MHz core/1500MHz memory, only thing is, it has 2GB Vram and 256bit bus.  In most games is close to an HD 7950 and beats a GTX 660 ti.

Summer build: I7-4770K @ 4.5GHz, 4x4GB (Alternative black/red) DDR3 1600MHz, HD 7970GHz Water blocked, XSPC res/pump combo, 2 dual 120MM radiators, Corsair 350D Case, Corsair AX860I 80+ Gold PSU, custom red individually sleeved cables, red tubing w/ silver/chrome compression fittings, 480GB Crucial M500 SSD, ASrock Z87 MATX professional board, and a Corsair Vengeance K60 keyboard.
