Just in case anyone was looking, the 3600 is on sale for $179 at Newegg.  I got an email on it today and picked one up to replace my 2600.

Full disclosure, sometimes Newegg required you be subscribed to their sales emails to get the prices listed, but I don't find them too bothersome.
