so i have a 60hz monitor and im getting 300 fps on fortnite but it feels like 30 fps for some reason. my xbox one feels way smoother than my pc does lmaoo. i capped my fps to 60 and 120 and uncapped it and it all felt the same and my gpu and cpu arent thermal throttling at all i just dont know what the heck is going on and its getting super annoying with whatever is going on

Use Vsync

Perhaps your display isn't running at the specified Hz. Try opening your displays menus, and find the info for current resolution and Hz, while having the game open.

it is other less demanding games feels butter smooth but fortnite and modern warfare are where i feel it. i dont even know what to call it. studdering? it just feels like 20 fps even know im getting 300 uncapped but i capped it to 120 and 60 and nothing fixed it

Yeah, but did you check if the display is at the right frequency in the game?

I had a similar problem with Crysis, where my 144Hz display dropped to 30Hz when launching Crysis.

I solved it by creating a custom resolution in my nVidia control panel, that forced 144Hz.
