Every system will have a bottleneck. An overclocked six-core might bottleneck a 780ti, especially when the GPU is overclocked.

I would suggest upgrading to a 8350 or an i5. If you already have the CPU, don't worry. Even though this system might be slightly bottleneck,

it will still rock and destroy. It's not like an overclocked 6300 isn't fast. And: In the future, games will support more cores, unlike they do now.

Yes. Most likely by a little, by why would you pair an FX-6300 with a 780 Ti?

I was wondering if I would have to upgrade my CPU considering I may soon upgrade my GPU.

I already have the CPU, considering I have already built this system. Currently I have my CPU paired with a gtx 760 SC. Would you recommend I upgrade my CPU also? Keep in mind I'm tight on money but do not have a defined budget. If necessary I will upgrade the CPU but I won't if the performance drop isn't too unbearable. In the long run I will upgrade the CPU also, but for now, I'm not sure.

If I were you, I wouldn't upgrade your CPU or GPU. Instead, you should add a second monitor or get a cheap Korean 1440p monitor.

If you feel that that's not necessary, think about upgrading to an SSD as a boot drive. It'll make a massive difference.

Also, you really don't need a 780ti when gaming in 1080p. It's just a waste.

An SSD is a bit out of budget for my tastes. I'm aware of the differences of a HDD and SSD but I would rather wait a few more years. The reason I was wanting to upgrade was for the graphical power. I play a lot of graphically intense games and on top of that, I do a lot of autocad. Though, autocad is more cpu intensive, some graphical renderings put my gpu at load and don't seem to touch my cpu.

So you're able to afford a 780ti, but a 120GB or 250GB SSD is out of budget? That I don't get..

I'm telling you: Spending hundreds of dollars so that you can have everything on ultra instead of very high makes NO sense.

I mean, it's one or the other, but prices for an SSD are going to drop more drastically than gpus...eventually. I think I can hold off on an ssd for some time, but as I said, I need the graphical power for more than just games. It's more than going from "very high" to "ultra." A better, revised question would be, what should I get first, an ssd, or gpu/cpu?
