Hi,

I am trying to install windows on a HDD using a UsB bootable of windows 7. I got the iso directly from Microsoft. The problem I am trying in when I select the USB to boot it goes directly to a black screen (no cursor). This is not a no signal because when I disconnect my hdmi then my monitor shows no signal so its is just a complete blank screen that the USB boot is giving me.

My MOBO does not have onboard graphics and requires a GPU for display. The GPU displays the bios with no problem.

I'm not sure if it is my install menu is not able to display due to HDMI output with my gpu or if it is a boot error.

I've looked at every video and forum post possible.

Do I need to use another PC that has onboard graphics to install the windows on my HDD? Or am I able to add a graphics on the UsB bootable in order to display?

Please help
