2011 Macbook Pro screen issues

Looks like software? The led stays on with no display until the screen times out. When you wake it back up it comes up fine

 

Edit : NVRAM reset fixes it

So grey screen? No sad mac?  No spiny ball?  Nothing?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Nothing. I've already taken the battery out and put it back in with no luck. I know it did this before but I don't know how I fixed it

So black screen?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
