Hello guys

I got an offer to exchange my 1070TI Palit Dual for an Vega 64 LC, however as I have never owned a LC GPU or CPU I'm not very familiar if there aren't any underwater stones that I need to consider.

What issues know specifically to LC cards are there, like issues with the liquid due to prolonged usage etc.

There is no maintenance as this is the AIO variant, as long as you have a place to hang the radiator its not issue.  Typically they run the 120mm radiator/fan as rear exhaust as its easiest to reach.

Your 1070ti is slightly faster, but depending on the Vega since its LC you may be able to overclock it higher but I wouldn't bank on it - if I was trying to offload the Vega its because it wasn't an OCer.  Hell I think the Vega 64 LC is also way more expensive on the used market.  Wonder why they want to offload it.

Q: why are willing to exchange?

LC does not have any big issues other than installation and maintenance

Because I have issues with the card, check this thread -

I'm waiting on more details on the Vega

Btw I was thinking of adding the radiator/fan on the bottom fan slot of my Fractal Design R5

Well as I expected the GPUs were used for mining, on February they will hit the 2 year mark.

I have serious performance issues with my Palit dual and I prefer to get rid of it.

Maybe this is a topic for a new thread, but what do you think.

i went through that post and it seems that you need to modify your fan curve on 1070ti.
i believe that the max temp is 83C by default, you should set that fans go to max speed when your enter a game that is at 60-65C, as per your current curve the fans never reach 100%

1070ti for a vega 64 LC, the 64 is a bit better but LC version has some issues with the pump. Keep your 1070ti.

Im a vega 64 user with a 64 under water with the LC bios and its fast

Now its a very hot card, it uses loads of energy but you will get very good vps.

Keep your 1070ti and upgrade for a next gen card nvidia 3000 or amd navy 21
