i recently bought asus r9 270 drectcu II oc but zerocore doesnt seem to be working

when monitor turns off the gpu should power down but the fan doesnt stop

any help would be appreciated

Maybe zero core only impliments when used in a Dual-GPU config. Shutting down the second card.

Maybe ULPS^ and Zerocore are the same..?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I dont think that it only works in crossfire, amd has some videos on youtube that shows a single gpu also powers off when not in use

It only turns off the GPU when your monitor has been off for a long period of time. Meaning longer than 10 seconds.... Turn it off for about 10/20 minutes and then come back and see what your GPU is doing.

As stated here - AMD ZeroCore Power technology leverages AMD's leadership in notebook power efficiency to grant our desktop GPUs the ability to power down when your monitor is off, also known as the "long idle state."3

Call ASUS or AMD then. They will tell you where you're going wrong then.
