Screen Freezes help

I am playing games that are not to intense for my computer, like Rocket League and I will get random screen freezes for like 1/2 of a second. How do I fix this?

I have a GPU temp monitor installed an it seems to drop every time I get a freeze. I don't think it is thermal throttling because it drops at different temps for different games. 

Any help is appreciated. Also, I just installed 2 new Corsair 140 fans to the front of my case, to make a total of 3 case fans and it is still freezing. 

 

My PC:

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070

Asus Z170 PRO GAMING

Intel i7-7700k @ 4.2GHz 

16GB of ram

256GB ssd, 1 TB HDD

Windows 10 64 bit

Try ddu all drivers in safe mode and reinstalling them again.

Also what brand and model of psu you have?

What do you mean by ddu?

I have a Corsair HX750 platinum rated psu

This psu is really decent unit.

DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) it removes all drivers from your pc.

it told me to go into safe mode but i could not use the program from there. Also, I just downloaded new drivers so it should be fine.

Do u have any other suggestions to help me?

Recommended usage

• You MUST disconnect your internet or completely block Windows Update when running DDU until you have re-installed your new drivers.
• DDU should be used when having a problem uninstalling/installing a driver or when switching GPU brand.
• DDU should not be used every time you install a new driver unless you know what you are doing.
• DDU will not work on network drive. Please install in a local drive (C:, or else).
• The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best.
• If you are using DDU in normal mode, Clean, reboot, clean again, reboot.
• Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe).
• It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues.
