I am planning to build a new pc but I don't know what kind of cpu I need.

I am planning to use my pc for games like roblox, minecraft and fortnite(I can't play fortnite on my current pc) and building programs with for example: Unreal engine, construct and of course IDE's

My current pc has a intel core i3-2120 3.30GHz a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 and two cores 16GB ddr3 RAM

Questions:

What kind of cpu do I need to do this?

What kind of graficscard do I need to do this?

Ryzen is definitely the way to go. I think with your budget, I would get the Ryzen 5 3600X and maybe pair it with a GTX 1660 Super? That should be plenty to get you going. Anything less than that card and you're going to be hitting bottleneck issues.

I would definitely stick with the 1660 (regular, ti, or super).  It is a great value.  You might also go with a rx 590, but that is less powerful.

with that budget, u might use the ryzen 5 2600.  It is on really good sale.  you can get a good overclock (4.0ghz) with a decent air cooler.

the rx 590 is not better than the 1660ti, it is the same as the 1660 non ti.  I have been able to overclock mine to 1720mhz, and Temps never go above 60c.  I have the Gigabyte rx590.  It is a great card

with a good 10% overclock, it is pretty close to the 1660ti, but it is alot cheaper depending on who u buy it from.
