Upgrading my RAM - Will this work?

Go to solution Solved by BlueChinchillaEatingDorito,

Both will work. With Option 2, you're most likely going to be missing out on Dual-channel operation depending on what Dell originally shipped your system with. Some people on the forum are adamant that people should go for dual channel operation. But from my personal experience, the difference is barely noticeable in day to day use. So it's really up to you depending on whether you want to spend the extra money on the dual channel kit and sell your current 8GB stick.

So I've been slowly upgrading my PC over the years, and the time has come for me to make another upgrade. I bought a Dell Inspiron 3668, and my current upgrades include a GTX 1050, and a 250GB SSD. I have 8GB of 2400Mhz RAM currently (The stock ram I got from the original purchase.) and I would like to go to 16GB. Now, I've read around and people say that the jump from 8 to 16GB is not too noticeable, but I want the RAM for future builds as well. I'm am VERY nooby when it comes to what parts are compatible with what PC. I have a brief understanding, but nothing deep. I have 2 slots for RAM.

Now to my main question, with my Stock Dell Inspiron 3668, will this RAM fit? I am on a budget, and can't really afford anything more than $60-70.

The RAM I've chosen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LCP1JWS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A25SITGFW0OQJA&psc=1

Option 2 (Can someone verify if this one would work too) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FV29UEI/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=A26PVB3960EU85&psc=1

If anyone could link me compatible RAM that'd be nice.
