Different kits

So I bought a 32 GB kit of ram hoping to put it with my current 16 GB kit. Don't ask why I'm putting in more. It's simply because I can not because i need it. But I'm guessing even if they are the same exact RAM they won't play nice on my Asus Maximum Hero mobo?

They are. Are you sure? Because I read mixing kits is bad. Do they mean different brands?
