Specs:

Motherboard: ASRock B450M Steel Legend

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700

GPU: RX580 8gb

RAM: 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance 2400mhz

Powersupply: 650W Bronze

So I'd like to preface this by saying that I've tried all of the usual troubleshooting methods such as msconfig and windows memory diagnostic tool, as well asregedit and seeing if my RAM was just seated incorrectly. None of these helped and I'm pulling my hair out. My computer definitely detects both sticks of ram, bios included. Apparently over half of my ram is "Hardware Reserved".

I tried updating to the newest recommended after i found this problem. Nothing changed for me. CPU-Z is detecting both sticks, bios is detecting both sticks, windows is but it is saying 8.1gb is hardware reserved.

Edit: I've tested both sticks individually on all four slots and they both work. As far as I can tell my hardware is perfectly fine. I don't know what to do but clearly it's going to affect gaming significantly.

So clear CMOS?

If that doesnt work, try take the CPU out, do it again and wait for a while before you put the CPU back and turn it on. Sometimes AGESA doesnt reset while you clear CMOS.

I'll try that. If it doesn't work I'm probably just going to buy more ram so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

I cleared CMOS and it was still showing correct date and time? Maybe my MOBO is fucked. I'm going to contact ASRock.
