Hello,

I built a gaming pc last week, and everything is working, all the drivers are installed and the BIOs is updated. I do not have a wifi card so I have been using ethernet this whole time. It has been working until today. I plug in a lan cable and it says nothing is connected, but the internet will pop up. Here’s the weird part though. I have a router that is mounted on the wall, and it’s weird because i can’t take it off, it’s wifi that is provided by my apartment complex that I switched to yesterday. The wifi worked all yesterday, but stopped today. Now, when i connect a lan cable to the router and then plug it into my PC it turns the router off. Not sure what is going on and I have tried everything. Can anyone help?

Easy things first - try another cable. If that fails, try same port, same cable with another device, if that is an option.
