Hey all,

I got a MSI Tomahawk B450 MAX and a Ryzen 5 3600 and looking for some new Ram now. Found a G Skill Trident Z 16GB Kit (3600MHz and CL 18) for around 100€ in Germany.

Should i take it and what would you take?

Thanks for your opinion

you can calculate here: https://notkyon.moe/ram-latency.htm

But with ryzen this is not the whole story. The infinity fabrics speed (that connects the CPU cores to each other and everything else) is tied to RAM speed. With 3000Mhz Ram you will make it runn slower than it is able to. With 3600Mhz ram you can max it out. Therefore get the 3600 Kit enable XMP (or however AMD calls that) and be golden!

FOLDING MONTH 2021! GOGOGO and save on some heating costs 🙂
