what is a vcore?

Core voltage on your CPU

In hwinfo64 it usually is on the motherboard section

Or you could download cpuZ and see what it tells you for vcore

Kind of high vcore for stock.

Go i to BIOS and load optimized defaults, turn on xmp only but select no for other performance enhancement

you are saying optimized defaults, where is that?

Usually in bios there's an option for load optimized defaults. Or just default settings

I don't know how long it is running at 1.42v, but that's definitely enough to overwhelm that cooler and should not be normal for stock settings. They should be in the 1.15-1.25v range stock.

Go into BIOS and navigate around until you find load profiles

Usually default is there somewhere.

Also disable any CPU enhancements. ASUS is notorious for doing weird shit with these enhancements.

so i set it to auto but not any higher voltage than 1.125 and no cpu enhancements are on

Okay, how isresults?

Run same test again as you did earlier that produced 90+ temps. (Game)

Report back results.

You could try updating BIOS see if it fixed anything

its already updated,

Not sure then.

I'm out of ideas.

Maybe they left out the TIM on your CPU ?

I still suspects the installation being off somehow.

Maybe see if your coworker can take a lot and provide some input.
