Build components: ASUS ROG Maximus Formula X

CPU- 8086k

Ram- 2 Sticks 16GB each

Hey everyone so I recently cleaned out my watercooling loop after having my computer be off for a few months (too busy, just been using my laptop). I finally got around to cleaning it out. My keyboard doesn't light up when plugged into any USB port (MOBO or case) but it does when plugged into another computer (I know this is weird but I don't know what it means). The PSU is fine as all my RGB lights up, the MOBO displays a message and the pump runs. My monitor is fine since for a brief second when the computer is turned on the monitor lights up as though it received a signal. I tried turning it off and on, trying different ram configurations (switching the sticks, running only 1 at a time in different channels), clearing the CMOS (convenient button on the back) and discharging the capacitors. When cleaning out the loop I did not touch the CPU block and it worked flawlessly when I last used it months ago. I see a bunch of codes pop up and it goes through them before getting stuck on code 22. Any idea what else I can try?

Here are some pictures I took. The CPU looks fine from what I can tell. The block (disassembled) looks like crap. I had algae so I stupidly (I need a stronger word) used vinegar and bleach to kill it all in the loop and I left there too long. I'm not sure how the CPU socket looks. Looks like 2 different colors but I'm not sure if new boards are like that.

Could the CPU block be in such bad shape that it can't even cool the CPU enough to POST? Or could it be something else?

I reckon it’s something else. Even without enough cooling your pc should post (maybe shut down if too hot) but at least some sort of life should be there. Did you tried resitting ram like suggested?

@Whiro tag or quote will do the trick

Steam Deck OLED 512gb , all other pc’s are gone
