Hello, today after 8 months a dead pixel randomly appeared on my screen (XL2411p).

This is my first time seeing a dead pixel, is it supposed to have a "shadow" around it like this ? --> https://imgur.com/BbNiktg

Most return policy for dead pixels don't apply if there is only one so i was wondering if that "shadow" is something special or just normal with one dead pixel.

Edit: I noticed that my mouse cursor was hidding the dead pixel(s) when hovering over it which is really strange so i decided to try the old restart the computer and everything is completely gone. No idea what caused it but it is fixed.

looks like impact damage. like if you were going to a lan party and dropped a pencil with the pointy end first.

If it would be just a dead pixel, there should be no area around it like this. Try to ask whether it's possible to RMA it. In any case, be careful not to do some more damage by applying excessive pressure.

That is impact damage. Dead pixel does not have shadows and its not that easy to even see.
