Hello guys , so ive been trying to get my gsync to work properly but im not sure if im doing it right

I have a freesync monitor wich is gsync compatible but if i use only gsync and cap my frames 3 below my monitors refresh rate i get tearing sometimes even though the frames are capped and not going above my display's hz

and if i use gsync+vsync still with 3 frames bellow i get no tearing just very small barelly unnoticeable wich is nice but then i get input delay my mouse feels like it floats , so what do you guys think i should do?  or am i doing something wrong

What screen is it? Most monitors can use adaptive sync only in a limited range. Are you sure your chosen limit is within that range?

Thank you for replying , im using the MSI Optix Mag27c , what do you mean by range ,  sry i dont understand much about this , in the manual it says that it goes up to 144hz in 1920x1080 , ive tried so many settings nothing seems to work either i get tearing or huge input delay , and ive seen people with similar setups as mine with gsync and theyre gameplay feels so smooth ...

What I mean is that some monitors can use FreeSync only at certain refresh rates. Yours can do it between 40 to 144 Hz, so that shouldn't be the issue.

I assume you have the latest Nvidia driver installed and you're using a DisplayPort cable?

Yeah i was reading that too now , yes im using Dp cable , latest driver also tried backrolling  a couple of versions but still the same , maybe it has to do with frame times , because sometimes the fps doesnt even go down and it still tears, its weird i dont know what else to do

Frame rate and frame time measure the same thing, only inverse (frames per second and seconds per frame).

Check if you've done everything described here:
