Ryzen Bios problems (please help)

After receiving a new ryzen 3700x for Christmas, I decided to place it into my computer. However, I forgot to update my bios from my old bios to the ryzen 3000 compatible version. So, I put the old cpu back in, and upon placing it back into the slot and reinstalling it, I tried to turn it on, but the power button won’t work, it won’t turn on, it appears to be fine, but nothing is helping.
