I do. Here, let me draw you a picture...

(This pen tablet was the best $40 I could have spent of Black Friday ?)

The adapters I have are both Actiontec ECB6200. This is the splitter I have. This is a decent filter.

if coax is what provides my internet, do I only need one moca adapter? I have a coax next to my pc.
(ask questions bc i am bad at wording questions)

By moca adapter do you mean Cable modem?  The answer is yes.  You'd hook up your ISP-compatible modem, and could just plug your PC into that or a router depending.

You'll probably need two. I think there are some cable modems that have a MoCA injector built in, but you'd have to check the specs of your specific one. Otherwise, you'll need one at the router/modem, and one on the receiving end.

If both rooms have a coax port that share a common point somewhere, and one room has the modem and router (whether one device or two), then yes, MoCA will work.

yeah it's called a 100-foot ethernet cable lol.  What are you trying to accomplish?  You can run long cables, but you do not want to think about ways to wirelessly bridge your modem and router, that's a recipe for madness.

Do you have a combo router/modem or just a cable modem?

i have a coax next to my desk that is connected at the same common point to the coax that provides the internet to my router, the issue is that the router is around 80ft worth of exposed wires away (can put in walls bc house is rented) i want to get fast speeds since we have 500mbps down and 100mbps up. I heard that moca adapters would solve that issue, but I was wondering if there was a better way.

Speaking as someone using MoCA right now, they are the best way I know of given the scenario. I get basically gigabit speeds through them to my media center.

Let me know if you have questions because I can experiment with my setup if you need it.
