Hello all, I hope this is the right forum. So I am getting a Corsair H100i Pro tomorrow with 2 140mm extra fans. I just got a new case. So after research, I am going to be putting the radiator for my aio on the front. But I wanna know if I put my two 140mm fans on top as exhaust and the stock exhaust on the back, will that be an issue? the other thing I can do is just put 1 140mm fan on top and one on back. I just wanna know if air flow is going to be better one way or another.

Airflow will be the same relatively but fan speed plays a big factor.

You’d want more air in than out. So it would be positive air pressure to produce less dirt in the case.

You’d have to find a comfortable medium. Get enough fresh air in for the gpu and ensure you can get all the hot air out from the rad and the gpu.

Its still fine to be in the front. I just prefer the top.

My primary cooling objectives are low noise for daily pro use, and great airflow for overclocking/gaming on the weekend.

I have a Corsair H100x that I originally put in the top of my case as exhaust, with 3 x 120mm fans in the front as intake and a 120mm fan in the rear as exhaust, all on pretty quiet custom curves.

This worked well while I had a blower graphics card, but when I switched to a custom (non-blower) card I started to see higher CPU temperatures, as you might expect.

A few weeks ago I moved the H100x to the front of my case with a single 120mm fan underneath as intake, the two 120mm fans to the top as exhaust, and left the one in the rear as exhaust. I also put my CPU in the bottom PCIe slot.

These changes reduced my CPU temperatures by about 10 degrees under load, GPU is the same.

I did also try reversing the airflow (exhaust out the front), negative pressure, and a couple of other configurations, but found the above best for my Corsair 275R case.

Obviously different cases might perform differently, but worth testing the different configurations.
