Cant enter bios.

So. I cant enter my motherboard bios. First thing that  comes to mind is updating, but that seems to intimidating right no. Sow could anyone give me advice? (Btw I receded the cmos battery, did not work.)

Before this I plugged my new m.2 ssd in and installed windows on it. Also for some reason once I had it (the m.2 ssd) in my system with my hdd (the hdd still had windows 10 installed), my mobo was not showing the hdd in the bios. That was also happening after I installed windows on the sdd.

So I tried plugging my hdd into different sata ports. (Once I switched the hdd sata port when my system was on. That might have been a mistake.). After I booted into the os on the ssd. The hdd was being picked up by file explorer but once I tried to enter the bios I could not. Plus now when I plug my sdd in to the system it tells me to select boot drive as if there was none.

I am lost. Would appreciate any help I can get. Thx.

Edit:

I resoleved the issue by receding the cmos battery while the hdd was disconnected.

try to flash (a current or 1 increment update to your bios version) bios to your mobo using an app. usually the manufacturer tends to offer an app that you can use to update your bios. Try to look for your current bios version and download it from the webpage of your mobo. Flash it and see if it will work. be sure that you have the same bios version (which you can check on the app) and flash it correctly. Follow the instructions carefully.

i have a gigabyte mobo and it has an app that i used to flash my bios in order to use a ram stick.

what's your mobo anyway?

we have the same brand. try to look for the app in the gigabyte website. download and install it to your PC and look for the app that manages your BIOS. that app from Gigabyte has it all apps you need to update drivers, etc. look for "BIOS" if i'm not mistaken.
