Hi all, I'm using a self built desktop as a HTPC (Pentium G4560, GTX950, 8GB RAM, B250M Pro4). i have my PC Connected to an LG TV Via HDMI, and then the TV is having its audio passed through to a JVC RX-E5 Home cinema control center via the 3.5 mm Audio Jack in the rear of the TV.

PC --> TV --> Amp/Control Center --> Speakers

when using the TV Normally, i am able to get 5.1 Surround sound properly, but when on the PC, I'm only able to get Stereo output. i have a feeling this is to do with the EDID of the LG TV. yet when plugging directly into the amp from the PC using that same adapter im able to select 5.1 and even 7.1. is there any way to bypass the EDID and allow for the PC to see that the audio is being passed on through the TV? because the PC is seeing the two speakers and only giving stereo, even when the audio is passed through too. also have a PS3 Connected to the same TV and that plays out 5.1 audio perfectly.
