Help with partial upgrade

Hello all.  
Thinking about slowly upgrading my PC.  These are my current specs:

-Asus tuf sabertooth z170 mark 1

-16gb ram

-Asus GTX 970 Strix

-i7-6700K processor

 

Recently picked up the witcher 3 on a steam sale and noticed that I have to run in med graphics in order to maintain my 60 fps.  Was wondering on your thoughts for upgrading.  Also I am running a Linux mint based system.  Everything is air cooled.

The most logical thing to upgrade is the GPU, but what budget do you have?
