a couple questions?

ok so me and friend are thinking about picking up mining, we plan to test for the weekend (Friday trough Monday)

 

he has 2 gtx 670 sc 4gb in sli, and i have a gtx 780 ti

 

what mining software should we use?

 

what coin should we mine?

 

can we create our own pool, just us two?

 

i cant think of anything but if you have any suggestions, it would be much appreciated. 

 

Edit: i read an article about how nvidia cards found a new way to mine making it much faster,or something like that but now i cant find it. if someone could link me to it that would be awsome

Cudaminer is what you need, join a pool like wemineltc.com and don't use your cards in sli. When they're not in sli you can assign a worker per graphics card and double your hashrate. 

 

Here is a guide to setup cudaminer. And there is no point in being in your own pool. You wont be mining nearly enough to justify that. Just join a pool and get rewarded for what is mined. You only get rewarded when you mine a whole block, which will take a long time with just you two with your setups. That's what pools are for, to work together and get rewarded equally.
