Hi,

I build my first pc yesterday and everything works smoothly, except my RAM is stuck at 2133mhz and I can't seem to overclock it. Everytime I do, (I probably do it the wrong way) my BIOS just resets. Even if I only change one thing like enabling hyper mode. I was wondering if someone could tell me how I could possibly get the RAM Speed I paid for initially. This is my build:

Hope anyone knows what I'm doing wrong. If you need more context, let me know what you need!

How are you overclocking it? All you should need to do is enable XMP/DOCP in the BIOS and it should be all set. On rare occasions, you may have to manually enter the timings and speed and voltages.

The BIOS resets everytime I boot, I'm not able to change anything whatsoever. Do you know how I could fix this? It's a brand new build.

Does it boot loop then resets or just auto resets upon start up?

It doesn't even save when I exit/save when I update BIOS. It goes to my Win10 and no changes has been applied.

I know on my B450i Pro Wifi board I have to manually enter the XMP settings. If I just enable XMP in the BIOS, it does the same thing. Gigabyte has one of the worst BIOS's in the industry IMO and this will likely be my only, and last, Gigabyte board I ever own. Try manually setting your XMP timings and voltage and see if it works.
