no full screen

Hey ^^

I got the problem that my monitor shows a "no signal" symbol whenever I try to activate the full-screen mode in a game. Everything else works perfectly fine!

pls help me

 

System: AMD ryzen 5 3600X;

              Sapphire radeon rx 5700 XT nitro+

              16 GB Viper 3733 mhz ram

              MSI X570 gaming edge wifi

     

monitor: MSI Optix MAG341CQ

That sounds like the game is running in a non native resolution. Is this happening in a steam game? If it is, try setting the launch options with, -base. That should cause the game to run at 600 x 800. That resolution may cause it to show an image.

no, it runs at UWQHD and I tried it with both steam and non-steam games, the game starts at the normal res and when I try to activate full screen, the monitor just shows the no.signal icon

Wow, that makes no sense. Have you tried running your ultra wide at a 16:9 aspect resolution? My brother had a similar isuue, and the solution was to run the screen at a lower res.

hmm, i tried it, but nothing happened. but idk why, suddenly everything worked... my monitor is weird...
