First Build

Go to solution Solved by LogicWeasel,

Only possible tweak with that tight of a budget I tried making.  Made the motherboard a really good one for VRMs and future upgrading, and it supports this newer Ryzen APU.  That said, I dropped the storage a bit but I hope you have a HDD you could pop in for raw storage.  Otherwise your next upgrades would be that and a dedicated GPU to really get more from games, but at least this Ryzen is Zen+ so by comparison to the 2400G it has slightly faster cores (and higher base clock):

I'm planning to put my first rig together.  It's going to be used mainly for gaming, media consumption and a bit of 3D moddeling.

This what i've came up with fiddling on pc part picker,  i'm not informed when it comes to RAM and motherboard so i'm not sure for those.

I would like to keep head room for upgrading later on, which is why i went ATX on the motherboard.

Any case would do if there's anthing with better value

I plan to use one 1080p monitor for starter, but it could be changed for 2, or upgraded.

Windows is expensive, so i'm probably going to get it from a Keygen re-seller.

Any suggestion help, I'm trying to keep the rig lower than 500$CAD (380$US) if possible.

Prices are in Canadian Currency

Looks like a super solid build list overall

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Well since gpus are quite expensive, i was thinking using the unboard graphics of the ryzen 2400G until i can get enough for something like an GTX 1660 or something..

no room in budget, but these AMD chips have Vega 11 integrated graphics, so it's not as bad as Intel onboard.
